Arctic Blast
Ok, so two days after my last post, it really snowed. We got like 10-12 inches, which is cause to shut down the city. It was really weird because it was the week before Christmas and it was NOT good for business. Although, I must say how surprised I was about the amount of customers that we did have, but I think that people just didn't have a choice, they had to finish their Christmas shopping. Our business hours are finally back to normal so no more staying until one in the morning. Work lately has been really frustrating. Today was just crazy, I don't know if it is a full moon, but the customers were just weird today. I seriously had a lady come in for a 2.43 refund. Then a lady came in with her reciept because she couldn't remember purchasing what was on her reciept and once I brought the item out she remembered. Who does that? Why would you take a reciept all the way to the store because you couldn't remember what was on your reciept, just crazy!

Internet Has Been Down
Oh my goodness, I never realized how much the internet was an addiction for me. Until I got a virus from facebook and couldn't get on in over a week. Not much has happened. The liscensor has gotten back with me and I told her about the psycho letter the daycare lady sent. She told me that if the state decides to take action that they will want me to testify. Which I have no problem with, I just don't really want to see her! I hope to catch up on everyone's blogs!!

Crazy Daycare Lady
Oh my gosh!! The crazy daycare lady that I called CPS on sent me an anonymous letter. It was actually an article from the internet in an envelope with no return address and my name and address on a computer generated label. Take a look: http://blog.care.com/child_care_scoop/2008/09/top-five-rude-b.html?cid=138572328#co
She highlighted the parts that say:
Don't you hate it when total strangers comment on your babysitting or parenting style: They may think they're being helpful, but they're really just overstepping their bounds and making an already stressful situation worse.
The point is that most rude comments are more a reflection on the person who makes them than on the person at whom they're directed.
People really need to mind their own business. In regards to someone else's children. My opinion is if the child is not yours and the child is not being neglected, butt out.
Who does this? What a kook!! And hello, there were children being neglected, who puts little kids outside without jackets or shoes.
Anyway, on another note, I am going to start up a story time at work starting Dec. 1st and it will be Monday mornings at 10:30am in the childrens department. I hope to see some of my friends there!!

Been MIA
Sorry, I hate when people don't post for a long time. Not much has been going on. The Christmas rush is officially on. Well, I guess I can't really call it a rush yet, but we have extended hours on the weekend and we are playing Christmas music. This year I am looking forward to the Holidays. Not that I don't usually, but sometimes I feel really overwhelmed this time of year, but this year, so far, I don't. I know a lot of it is the six birthdays we have coming up between the two families in the next two weeks, but I am just taking it as it comes!! I wonder why some years we stress out about these things and some years we just take it with a grain of salt. Strange indeed!!
So, Aaron and I have our eyes on this really great house that we found for sale right now. We are hoping that it all falls together and we could eventually buy it. But things would just have to work out just right for it to happen. Like, we would have to sell our house first, but in this market it could be difficult. Anyway, we are just taking it a step at a time and seeing what happens.

Update and pictures
So, the state liscensor called me yesterday to get my side of the story. Apparently, the day that this all happened the daycare lady called the liscensor to let her know what happened. So the liscensor now has both sides of the story. Luckily she now gets to ask the kids involved what happened. Hopefully they can get down to the bottome of things and get things taken care of. Like I have said, I don't want her to lose her liscense, I just want her to stop. Anyway, I want to update with Halloween pictures. All in all, it was a very successful night!!

So I did it...
I reported the daycare lady yesterday. Part of me feels guilty, but part of me feels good for finally doing it. She put a sign for her daycare on the entrance ramp to the freeway and I swear it was a sign meant for me because everytime I saw it I got mad all over again and wanted to report her even more. Not that I want her to lose her license or anything, but she needs to stop. We will be trick or treating tonight, the kids are very excited even though it is raining today but it is the Pacific Northwest, so what else can you expect? Anyway, I will take pictures tonight and post them when I get a chance. Happy Halloween!

I am so excited!!!
So, my friend that has been watching Kendall this week has offered up daycare!! I am so excited! Kendall is going to go to the same preschool as my friends son in the afternoons, so she can pick them up and drop them off at the same time. I am so at peace witht he decision. I feel so good knowing that she will be with someone I know and trust. Now, I need a little advice. To make a long story short, I believe that the lady that ran the last daycare Kendall was at put the kids outside without jackets on a probably forty degree morning as a punishment. We are talking about a two year old and a four year old. What would you do? Would you report this, or leave it alone?

Daycare Problems
So if you know me at all, you know that I was very reluctant to go back to work full time because of daycare. Well, last Thursday I saw something that I didn't like at my daughters daycare and pulled her out that day. I spent all day crying and feeling guilty for my decision. It was a home daycare and I thought everything was just fine. I think that I will try an all day preschool type daycare now. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Luckily I have a great Father in Law who is retired and a great friend who is going to watch Kendall this week. I am very blessed!

I Have The Next Two Days Off
As I was leaving work tonight, one of my fellow supervisors said "Have a good weekend". That cracks me up because those are our weekends now, any two days we can get off in a row. I am so excited to get this pig sty cleaned up and to spend some one on one time with my girl.

They're open
Ok, so we opened our doors today to customers and it was so much fun. I even got to see some people I know shopping, that was great. What I didn't mention in my previous post was that I was the only one in management closing tonight. Holy stressed out Batman! None of the employees closing knew one thing about closing a register and it took forever for us to close all the registers. Then I had to let everyone out and solve a problem in jewelry, then jewelry had to turn in their money and I had to let them out. I then had to figure out how to open the safe and then lock up by myself. All in all I think everything went pretty well, just longer than I expected. Good thing I have tomorrow off!!
We open our doors today!
I am so excited, we open our doors to the public today. Not that we will really be busy because it isn't advertised. But none the less, we open today!! It is going to be really weird to go from being so task oriented to waiting on customers. But bring them on!!

I have been busting my butt lately at work. I am working on getting MY childrens department beautiful!! I had one of the crew members laugh at me tonight because I took a picture of my tables. They just look so pretty!! Kellen started 1st grade last week, and I can't believe it. He is getting so big. Next weekend he will start football again. He is really excited. Time is flying by, our new store opens Oct. 3rd. If you live in town, come by and visit me!!

Tomorrow is the Big Day
So, I start my new job tomorrow. I am so scared, yet so excited I can't even believe it. I can't believe I am putting my kids in daycare. I think it will be good for them, but I am scared. I am very excited to do something new and work full time. Anyway, I will post on how it goes after I get into the swing of things.

I can see
I can see with out the aid of glasses or contacts. It is a very weird feeling, but enjoying it. Not enjoying all the drops I have to put into my eyes, but getting used to it. My vision went from 20/400 to between 20/20-25. What a nice feeling. The surgery itself was a very strange and nerve wrecking experience, but man the nap afterward felt nice. Still trying to get used to everything, but all in all it was definitely worth it.

Oh, I forgot
Happy New Year
Happy New Year everyone!! It has been a while since I blogged. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a wonderful one. My parents came to visit and stayed with us for five days. And we actually had a white Christmas, which is practically unheard of in the Pacific Northwest, unless you live in the mountains. Nothing stuck on the ground, but it was fun to watch. So far the New Year has consisted of puking kids!! My kids got sick on the 5th, and are still trying to get over it! I am glad to get back into the swing of things. Kellen is back at school and I am back to my church activities. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and update my blog!!
