As I promised....

Halloween pictures. Aren't they just the cutest? This week has so far proven to be a lot less busy than less, but it's not over yet. And I can not wait until it is because we are going to go visit my parents on Sunday. I am so looking forward to it, I think even more than my kids! Aaron is going to stay here and hold down the fort. So, that only leaves three more days of work. I feel like I am counting down days of school before Christmas break or something!! But it does mean five whole days off of work, which I could really use right now. I hope everyone is doing well, leave me some more love in my comments!!

It's been a while

It has been a while since I posted, so let's see what has happened in the last week and a half. Last week Kellen only had three days of school, and on Thursday we had his parent - teacher conference. The teacher (Mrs. Yackley) went on, and on about what a great listener he his, very respectful of his fellow classmates, always wants to help others. The only thing she said he needed to work on was when to be social and when to get his work done. Seems he likes to talk instead of do his work sometimes. What can I say, he is his fathers child!! On Friday I took the kids to a Harvest Party at our church. I will post pictures of the kids in their costumes soon, just need to get them downloaded. Anyway, they had a blast with their friends from church and get candy! My parents also came on Friday and stayed through Monday. I didn't see much of them until Sunday because of work, but Sunday was a lot of fun. We went to my cousin, Nicki's, baby shower at a really good restraunt in downtown Portland and then we hung out Sunday night. This week has been pretty crazy because I have been working so much, but last night the kids had a blast trick of treating. Kendall kept saying "I want more candy", in between houses, and we had trouble keeping up with Kellen because he was literally running from house to house. Definitely a successful Halloween, although we really missed our friends Jill, Chris, Noah, and Griffin. We always meet at my sister in laws and all go trick or treating together, but they were not able to make it, but were greatly missed by all of us. Well, if you have made it through this, congratulations. I will try to post more so I don't have a novel each time.

Busy

This week has been so busy. How can a person who only works twenty hours a week be so busy? Let's see...Bible study, MOMS group, dentist appts, soccer practice, and volunteering in a kindergarten classroom. I swear, I don't know what I did before kids. No wonder I am so tired all the time, I must have had a lot more time to sleep before these little ones. No matter how busy I am, they are very worth it. On Thursday Kendall went to my friends house to play with her little girl while I volunteered in Kellens classroom. She loved it, we like to talk about what she did at Rylee's house!! Well, only four hours of work tomorrow, maybe I can get some laundry and other housework done because my parents are coming to visit at the end of the week. For those of you that don't know, my parents moved away to the Tri-Cities (in eastern Washington) in March and come at least once a month. This week they are staying with us. We love the quality time when they are here and the kids love it when Grandma Trish and Pa have a "sleep over" with us. We should have a good time. Hope everyone else has a great week!!

My weekend away...

Was AWESOME!! I guess, I can't call it a weekend away, but more of just a night away. Anyway, it was great. We listened to a great bunch of inspirational speakers, with some great tools to take away. There was laughter and tears. Most of my tears were for my friend Jill. She is in the hospital with cancer, and I can not get her off of my mind. I am praying and praying for her. She has a seven year old and a one year old. So if you are the praying type, please include her in yours. Today I am going to a Mary Kay party at my best friend, Stephanie's. We haven't seen each other for about two months, so I am really excited. Oh and if you need a Mary Kay consultant she is just starting up, so I highly recommend her!! Thank you for reading my blog, and thanks for all the feedback I got, I really appreciate it. It feels really nice to come and have an outlet, but I am also glad that people are actually reading it. I love you all.

So, this week we went to the pumpkin patch with Kellens classroom. It was the first time taking Kendall, she had a great time. She really liked the animals. Kellen really suprised me by participating in all the activities. If you don't know Kellen that well, he can be a bit apprehensive in certain situations. I was really happy that he really got in there and got his feet wet (well, at least muddy!!). I am going to downtown Portland this weekend with friends from my MOMS group. We are attending the Women of Faith conference at the Rose Garden. I am so excited to have a night away. It should be a great weekend of fun and fellowship. For anyone looking for a great deal on anything, on Sunday the 14th you can get an extra 20% off almost everything at JcPenney. If you are curious how, just ask me. I am hoping to keep up on this blog, all the menial things in our life for anyone interested. If nothing else, and outlet for me to come and get things of my chest. So, read if you want, if not, that is ok too because it is as much for me as my friends and family members.
