I can see

I can see with out the aid of glasses or contacts. It is a very weird feeling, but enjoying it. Not enjoying all the drops I have to put into my eyes, but getting used to it. My vision went from 20/400 to between 20/20-25. What a nice feeling. The surgery itself was a very strange and nerve wrecking experience, but man the nap afterward felt nice. Still trying to get used to everything, but all in all it was definitely worth it.

Friday

I am so excited because I am getting Lasik surgery on Friday. I have to wear my glasses for five days up to the procedure. I am getting so sick of them!! Not to mention I hate the way I look in them!

Oh, I forgot

On the 5th, I went to a womens conference and got to meet my favorite author, Karen Kingsbury. I got my picture taken with her and just wanted to share it!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!! It has been a while since I blogged. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a wonderful one. My parents came to visit and stayed with us for five days. And we actually had a white Christmas, which is practically unheard of in the Pacific Northwest, unless you live in the mountains. Nothing stuck on the ground, but it was fun to watch. So far the New Year has consisted of puking kids!! My kids got sick on the 5th, and are still trying to get over it! I am glad to get back into the swing of things. Kellen is back at school and I am back to my church activities. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and update my blog!!

As I promised....

Halloween pictures. Aren't they just the cutest? This week has so far proven to be a lot less busy than less, but it's not over yet. And I can not wait until it is because we are going to go visit my parents on Sunday. I am so looking forward to it, I think even more than my kids! Aaron is going to stay here and hold down the fort. So, that only leaves three more days of work. I feel like I am counting down days of school before Christmas break or something!! But it does mean five whole days off of work, which I could really use right now. I hope everyone is doing well, leave me some more love in my comments!!

It's been a while

It has been a while since I posted, so let's see what has happened in the last week and a half. Last week Kellen only had three days of school, and on Thursday we had his parent - teacher conference. The teacher (Mrs. Yackley) went on, and on about what a great listener he his, very respectful of his fellow classmates, always wants to help others. The only thing she said he needed to work on was when to be social and when to get his work done. Seems he likes to talk instead of do his work sometimes. What can I say, he is his fathers child!! On Friday I took the kids to a Harvest Party at our church. I will post pictures of the kids in their costumes soon, just need to get them downloaded. Anyway, they had a blast with their friends from church and get candy! My parents also came on Friday and stayed through Monday. I didn't see much of them until Sunday because of work, but Sunday was a lot of fun. We went to my cousin, Nicki's, baby shower at a really good restraunt in downtown Portland and then we hung out Sunday night. This week has been pretty crazy because I have been working so much, but last night the kids had a blast trick of treating. Kendall kept saying "I want more candy", in between houses, and we had trouble keeping up with Kellen because he was literally running from house to house. Definitely a successful Halloween, although we really missed our friends Jill, Chris, Noah, and Griffin. We always meet at my sister in laws and all go trick or treating together, but they were not able to make it, but were greatly missed by all of us. Well, if you have made it through this, congratulations. I will try to post more so I don't have a novel each time.
